Make Over...
Ok so I'm going to try and add the link bar to the top of my blog and make it all orgnaized and pretty so in order to do that (only way I know how) is to make a separate post for each link I want to make so that's what the next couple posts will probably be about then I'll be back to normal posts... ciao

Back...
I just got back from a nice two week vacation in Cali. I left just before it started snowing! Apparently my hometown has snow plows. In the 15 plus years I lived there we NEVER used them. Maybe they just borrowed them from the mountain towns... anyways, It POURED the last couple days I was there and thus we had to cancel our trip to Disneyland :( It's been almost a year since I was there last and I was pregnant then so I couldn't really ride much. And I REALLY REALLY wanted to take Monkey for the first time. I guess we'll just have to wait until this summer. Anyhoo, I did do a little crafting while I was there. It was my nephew's birthday and of course I procastinated like always which caused me to take the project and finish it there. Oh well. Since I wasn't there for Christmas I gave them their presents for that as well. They're at the age when they're starting to lose their baby teeth so it's obvious what they need... tooth fairy pillows!
I used the leftover material from the quilts I made them when they were babies. For Chase's birthday I did my first upcycle... He loves to play in the garage with my dad working on his bikes and doing things around the house and yard with him. My dad made him his own tool box with tools he can play with so I thought he needed some garage coveralls to go with it... I took these:
One of my old work uniforms into this:
Coveralls for him... I didn't have to do much altering. I hemed the pants, cut off the bottom of the shirt, and sewed the two pieces together. I ordered the patch online and sewed that on. I probably could have put in one long zipper so it would be easier to put on but, I kind of ran out of time :p ... So that's what I have for the day... Ciao

Giveaways & Ramblings...
I just entered my very first giveaway contest... over at Mia Moo Designs. Katie has some very cute projects going on over there so check them out! Hers ends tomorrow.
Disney over at Ruffles and Stuff is also feeling generious and has a giveaway going on until the 6th.
Also just purchased these by Heather Bailey for my cousin, she does some very fun things with her hair, I'm so excited to see what she comes up with...
Only two more work days until I go on vacation!!! Cali or bust!! I'm so excited, we're taking Monkey to Disneyland for the very first time! She won't remember but all the pictures will take up half her scrapbook, maybe I'll do a just Disneyland album for her... hmmmm... ciao!

Bow Board
I made this the other day at work for Monkey's hair bows. Currently all her headbands are in a huge pile in a basket. None of them fit her anyways so I guess that's another project for another day... There are a million tutorials for bow boards around but here is what I came up with...
I just covered an 11x14 art canvas with fabric, hot glued ribbon strips and then one around the edge to finish it off. The flower was made from material left over from the canvas and her bubble skirt. It's official... I need to get going on Monkey's hair bow collection, it's SERIOUSLY lacking... Ciao

Addict
I have become an addict of Etsy.com. I got Monkey her first pearl bracelet from this shop it is so sweet on her. I was worried that it would be too big but it's just right...
I have been working on some projects lately just haven't had time to post them yet. I also just bought myself a belated christmas/b-day present so stand by for photos... ok I'll give a sneak peak
All I have to say is it's beautiful!!! And I think I'm going to have to make a few new things for my new present...
I am still trying to configure the design of my blog... I haven't decided really how I want it to look so bear with me. Ciao.

Baby Legs
So I actually made these a while ago using this tutorial, I just hadn't put them on her and photographed them yet. I actually used just regular women's crew socks because she's still little. But, I have purchased the longer ones for future leggings.
The material slipped a bit while I was sewing so that made it a little difficult but I'm a beginner in sewing right now. I'm 99% sure hubby is getting me a serger for Christmas so hopefully that will expedite a lot of my projects :) oh and we heart Paul Frank Ciao!

First Etsy Purchase...
I finally made an Etsy purchase, after months and months of "window shopping" I picked something and got it! :) They're just patterns but I'm so stoked to get them and try them out. Here are the patterns from Heidi & Finn. They have super cute little girl patterns, unfortunately they are all sized 12m and up and
Monkey is just getting into a 6m, but she'll be big enough very soon. It will give me enough time to practice :)
